RAFAEL CASTAÑO MARÍN

Rafael Castaño Marín is a distinguished Audio Engineer, Sound Designer, and Musician from Manizales, Colombia. He studied Audio Engineering at Universidad de San Buenaventura in Bogotá and earned an MFA in Sound Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Rafael has built a formidable reputation in the audio industry with a diverse portfolio, including his role as a dialogue editor for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (2023), which earned him an MPSE Golden Reel nomination. His other notable contributions include serving as a Dolby Atmos re-recording mixer for the Netflix show “The Hijacking of Flight 601,” working as a re-recording engineer for Dragonville Studios’ feature film, and playing a key role in Mann Robinson’s show, “On Ten.” His extensive experience in commercials as a recording engineer, sound designer, and music composer further showcases his versatility and expertise. When not working, Rafael enjoys learning about new technologies, making music, and playing squash.
